Outside of the cross, the story of Exodus 32 might be one of the darkest days in all of the Bible. The people of God grew impatient, irritated, and irked that God was "taking too long". And so, they took matters into their own hands by worshipping something they made with their own hands, a god known as the golden calf. But that decision nearly cost them everything God had given to them.
