No one likes to be lied to. Whether it's a toddler lying about not eating a cookie (as they wipe the crumbs off their face), or a friend lying about not spreading rumors about you (when you know for a fact they did), being deceived hurts. But some lies are far more dangerous than others—especially the ones we believe about God, ourselves, and one another. In 1 John 2–3, John exposes some of the lies that quietly creep into our faith and reminds us that when we truly know Jesus, His truth doesn't just change what we believe—it changes how we live, how we love, and who we become.
