Summer Mission Trip Week 14
Aug 16, 2026 • Thomas Fitzpatrick
As we wrap up our series in the book of Acts, we come to one of the most fascinating stories—and sermons—of all time. The apostle Paul finds himself in Athens, a city filled with competing beliefs, philosophies, idols, and people searching for answers. Rather than responding with anger or condemnation, Paul allows his conviction to move him toward the people, creatively meets them on their terms, and then connects every question and longing back to Jesus. His approach gives us a powerful model for reaching the world around us today: listen well, find common ground, speak with grace—and when everything else has been said, remember the words that change everything: “Yes, but Jesus!”
